AflaGreen: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future

About the project

The project AflaGreen: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future brings together partners from three European countries with the aim of comprehensively developing the key competences of young people in a rapidly changing world.

The project is based on the belief that to successfully navigate current global and economic shifts, the upcoming generation needs a cohesive set of skills that go beyond traditional education. Its goal is to contribute to making financial literacy, digital skills, and ecological thinking a natural part of youth development, providing practical tools for their personal and professional lives.

AflaGreen links the field of social and financial education with digital finance, green entrepreneurship, and sustainability principles (ESG and circular economy), bringing these vital topics directly into the environment of youth work.

Over the course of two years (February 2026 – January 2028), partners from Slovakia, Poland, and Croatia will co-create and test a comprehensive educational manual, organize international training sessions for youth workers, and build an online community of mentors and educators. The project will also feature the creation of eco-friendly and social micro-projects designed by young people themselves, a cross-border online competition, and the launch of a multilingual learning platform aimed at sharing experiences and best practices.

The project is led by Škola dokorán - Wide Open School n. o. (Slovakia) in partnership with the organizations Fundacja Nauka dla Środowiska (Poland) and Pučko otvoreno učilište 'Korak po korak' (Croatia).

The project is funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme for the years 2026 – 2028 (Project ID: KA220-YOU-7B21B5F5).
